# Adjust video background

> Learn how to customize a video's background in VideoScripter by selecting wallpapers, gradients, or solid colors, and adjusting the video frame's padding, corner radius, and shadow strength for a polished, professional look.

## Wallpapers, gradients, solid colors
By clicking the Background icon in the Video Toolbar, you can enhance your recording by adding stunning wallpaper images to your video.

However, if you're recording a full-screen video that already includes a wallpaper, adding another one might be overkill. Instead, you can use the Gradient or Color tabs to apply vibrant multi-stop gradient backgrounds or simple, solid color backgrounds to your video.

If [Brand Kits](https://www.tutorial.ai/en/articles/12434137-brand-kits) are enabled, the colors and gradient options from the brand kit applied to your project will appear here.​

## Padding, rounded corners, shadow
Use the sliders in the Video Shape section to fine-tune the padding width, adjust the radius of the rounded corners, and control the shadow strength around your recording.
